The Five Indispensables are five principles that profoundly influence emotional development and stability in children throughout every stage, all the way to adulthood. The Pinpoint Assessment helps you to know where you stand with one specific child or adolescent for each of the five principles and it offers a suggested strategy for applying those principles right away.
The Five Indispensables play a crucial role in determining the level of maturity and character kids need for future success. They should also be considered first when dealing with even the most difficult child and teen problems.
Developed by Marriage and Family Therapist, Bill Seery, this online tool takes about ten minutes. It helps parents of both young kids and teens to navigate every age and stage of growing up by strategically applying five of the most indispensable principles that influence emotional development.
For simple as well as more complex parenting concerns, with kids of all ages, start here. Use the Pinpoint Assessment to look first at the most basic vital signs of home and parenting before jumping to the most extensive and expensive treatment options. Once the Five Indispensable principles are fully applied in a young person's life, parents can see more clearly to address other needs which may go beyond the Five Indispensables.
How Does the Pinpoint Assessment Work?
When you take the Assessment, it will always be with one child or adolescent in mind. Your answers on a simple questionnaire are compared with twenty-nine parent/child patterns. After doing the assessment, you will see your score for each of the five Indispensable principles on a scale from one to ten. Next, you will see the pattern that matches your scores, along with comments and suggestions from Marriage and Family Therapist, William Seery, for how to prioritize your efforts in applying the five principles in the most strategic way. After a few weeks of application, take the assessment again to monitor your progress, at no additional charge. The Pinpoint Assessment is great for problem solving, strategic planning and for getting all the adults on the same page! It is also a powerful educational tool.
